Justice of Ramadan part 1
Canada is the second largest country in the world (Russia is the largest) and has 6 different time zones. This means that the sun does not rise at the same time across the country. While this may seem natural to us, the Abrahamic religions allow belief in a flat earth theory. We now know that the size of the earth is an oblate spheroid. As a result, not all areas of the world enjoy the same amount of sunlight every day. The sun constantly illuminates different parts of the earth and there is no opportunity to prostrate under the throne. This year, Muslims living in the Southern Hemisphere will enjoy a relatively simple Ramadan, while Muslims living near the North Pole will enjoy the exact opposite. For example, a person living in Australia must fast for 12 hours a day and a person living in Norway must fast for 20 hours. Some Muslims fast at sunrise and sunset, and others in Norway during Mecca. Muslims do not agree on how to deal with this problem as there is no set of rules for the people of the region in the holy scriptures. Again, when the month of Ramadan falls in winter instead of summer, the exact opposite happens. Did the founder of Islam know about the time difference in the region? Did he know that there are vast lands like America and Australia where huge populations will one day grow? Ramadan is the third of the five pillars of Islam. Muslims are expected to practice eating and drinking from sunrise to sunset, committing sins by the five senses and (in the case of husband and wife) abstaining from sexual intercourse and avoiding sinful behavior. Ramadan ends with the sighting of the Eid moon. Although the position of the moon can be determined in advance, Muslims have to fix the day of Eid by seeing the moon with their own eyes. Maybe, it was seen that the day the moon was supposed to be seen, the sky was cloudy and the moon could not be seen with the naked eye. Is it appropriate to set the day of Eid using sophisticated telescopes or by locating the moon? It is further said that Satan is chained for one month in this holy month of Ramadan. Doesn't crime and corruption happen in the month of Ramadan?
