Justice of Ramadan part 2
Who will take the responsibility for the misdeeds organized in the month of Ramadan? Again, every year at the end of Ramadan, the great God, leaving Satan like a free bird, is playing "Batman and the Joker" with us? Then, who benefits the most from this practice of fasting? Most of the beneficiaries are shop or business owners whose business grows as a result of Ramadan. In Bangladesh, it is the busiest time of the year for Hindu hotels. Teachers get the opportunity to spend a long vacation with the family as they give students time off from valuable class time. The foreheads of the imams of some big mosques are opened for Eid. Wealthy Muslims feel the pain of the poor by providing financial assistance to the poor through zakat and by fasting. Why are poor people neglected for the remaining 11 months?
Some fasting Muslims are upset when they see others eating during the day during the month of Ramadan. These Muslim social workers take group action against the crime of eating or drinking in public outside the homes of these anti-Sharia people. Also, in some Muslim countries, restaurants are completely banned during the holy month. In some of my Muslim countries, a kind of scientifically sound discipline is created by mixing hot and soft rules as seen in Bangladesh. Restaurants are covered with a burqa-like black cover to avoid hurting religious sentiments. In this way, "bad" Muslims can eat outside and the society does not deteriorate with it. If the majority of Muslims live in a Muslim country, why do they hurt their religious feelings by eating other people's food? How do they go to the West again and celebrate Ramadan personally? Due to the increase in the price of goods in line with the demand and supply rules of the economy, people's purchases are to be reduced this month. But the opposite effect is often seen in most middle and upper-class families. Many of them are seen buying more food and other commodities and are wasted. Many claim that they have gained weight during the month of Ramadan. Isn't it ridiculous to break the fast by stocking the fridges and voluntarily eating a lot of food after a long day of starvation?
Whenever I think of Ramadan, two memories come to my mind. First, a huge array of delicious meals, most of which were oily. If Jules ever comes to Bangladesh from Pulp Fiction, he too is bound to fall in love with fried food. But no matter how delicious it is, after more than 12 hours of fasting, this celebration of fried food is not good for one's health. To overcome dehydration, the body needs to drink enough water. But lately many Muslims have been seen actively preaching about the benefits of fasting Ramadan from various skeptical and pseudo-science sources. Many times the tested scientific philosophy is being spread with wrong and false information to the devout simple Muslims. This kind of explanation is not really scientific. Scientists want to present it because science is acceptable to everyone. Many times sick people are also forced to fast due to pressure from society and family which can lead to their chronic illness. According to the Dhaka Tribune, Bangladesh is a country where more than 2 million people suffer from kidney disease, of which more than 6 million require regular dialysis (2017). Is it acceptable to endanger the health of sick people by closing food shops and applying stress?
